How many sessions a course usually takes
Mild acne commonly needs around three sessions before the change is obvious. Moderate acne tends to run four to six. Persistent or inflamed acne runs five to seven, and often continues alongside changes to your home routine.
Nobody can honestly promise clear skin in one visit. Acne is a chronic condition that is managed rather than cured, and any place quoting a one-session fix is selling you something else.
What the sessions are
Acnes Skin is the entry-level session: cleansing, careful extraction of comedones and a calming finish. It is the backbone of most courses.
Pure Skin and Aqua Peeling work on congestion and dull texture — hydro-based cleansing that clears the pore lining without stripping the skin.
DPL Acnes uses filtered light on inflamed, red-toned breakouts, aimed at the bacteria and the redness rather than the surface.
Clear Pore is the most intensive of the group, for skin that keeps re-congesting after the surface has settled.
One thing we will turn away
If your breakout looks like fungal folliculitis rather than ordinary acne — uniform small bumps, often itchy, usually on the chest, back or hairline — we will tell you to get it tested at a hospital first rather than book you in. Treating it as acne makes it worse, and testing is the only way to be sure.
What to bring and expect
Come with a list of anything you are already using on your skin, especially retinoids, acids or prescription creams. It changes what can safely be done on the day.
Extraction leaves the skin pink for several hours, sometimes into the next day. Plan around that if you have something on straight after.
Sunscreen matters more after a session, not less — post-inflammatory marks darken with sun exposure.
Questions we get asked
How soon will I see a difference?
Most people see a real change after about three sessions for mild acne, and four to six for moderate. Between sessions the skin usually looks calmer before it looks clearer.
Can you treat acne on my back or chest?
Yes, though it is worth telling us what the bumps look like first — chest and back breakouts are the ones most often mistaken for acne when they are fungal, which needs testing instead.
I am already using a prescription cream. Should I stop?
Do not stop on your own. Bring the product or a photo of it to the consultation; what is on your skin decides what can safely be done in the session.
Will extraction leave marks?
Skin is pink for a few hours to a day. Dark marks left behind by old breakouts fade over weeks, and daily sunscreen makes a visible difference to how fast.
