Microneedling in Hanoi
Microneedling uses very fine needles to make tiny channels in the skin, and the skin's own repair response does the rest. We offer three microneedling sessions — for skin still breaking out, for the marks acne leaves behind, and for rough texture and enlarged pores — each priced below, with a free skin consultation first.
Price
| Micro Acnes — microneedling for acne that will not settle120 min | 2,000,000₫ ≈ $76 |

| Hydrapen — microneedling pen with serum, for texture and enlarged pores120 min | 3,300,000₫ ≈ $125 |
Per session. Which session suits you, and how many you need, is settled at the consultation. The consultation itself, including skin analysis, is free and carries no obligation.
Three microneedling sessions, and which one fits
Micro Acnes is for acne that has gone on for a long time and has not responded to the usual approaches, and for rough texture and enlarged pores that come with it. It works on clogged pores, inflamed and hidden breakouts, and the uneven surface they leave.
Micro PIH is for the red marks that stay once the breakouts have settled, and for mild scarring that has not yet become deeply indented.
Hydrapen uses a microneedling pen together with a serum, with the depth adjusted area by area, so the active ingredients reach further into the skin. It suits rough skin, enlarged pores, marks left after acne and skin that looks dull.
Which one fits is decided at the consultation, once your skin has been looked at — not picked from a menu.
What happens in the session
Our doctor looks at your skin under a scanner — breakouts, marks, texture and pores — and chooses the needle depth for each area with you. Tell us at this point if you are taking any medication, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Areas that are badly inflamed are not treated that day; you will be asked to get them checked at a hospital first.
Your makeup is removed, and the skin is cleansed and disinfected carefully. Our doctor then microneedles the area at the depth agreed. It stings; say so whenever it feels like too much, and the depth is adjusted to how you respond.
The skin is soothed before you leave, and you go home with what to do tonight and over the next seven days. The next session is booked at least three weeks later.
Redness and recovery
Redness usually settles within one to two days; in some cases it lasts two to three, depending on the depth chosen for your skin. A review of microneedling in the Indian Dermatology Online Journal (2016) reports redness and mild swelling of two to three days, so that is the figure to plan around if you have an important event — leave a few days between the session and the day itself.
That is still a much lighter recovery than fractional CO2 laser, which means a week of flaking. If your scars are deep, the laser may still be the better tool — our acne scar page covers when that is the case.
Aftercare for the first week
Tonight: apply the antiseptic solution to the skin, leave it for one minute, then wipe it off with saline. Apply a thin layer of the moisturiser we give you and wait ten minutes, then use any prescribed topical exactly as directed.
For the next seven days, morning and night: antiseptic for one minute, wipe with saline, then the moisturiser, and wait ten minutes. For the first three days, skip facial cleanser and avoid anything that makes you sweat heavily.
Leave sunscreen off that week, so you do not need to remove it in the evening and rub the new skin; cover up well outdoors instead. Pause retinol, other retinoids and other strong active products. If anything feels wrong, message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you what to do.
How many sessions, and how far apart
Treatment protocols in the medical literature space microneedling sessions three to eight weeks apart, never less than three. Acne scarring usually needs at least four to six sessions before the improvement is clear, and new collagen keeps forming for three to six months after the course ends (Indian Dermatology Online Journal, 2016).
The number of sessions you need is set by our doctor after looking at your skin, not before.
When to wait
Get your skin checked at a hospital first if you are taking oral acne medication or stopped it less than six months ago; if the skin is infected, blistering, broken or sunburnt; if you have had a peel, laser or microneedling in the last two weeks; or if inflamed acne is spreading and painful.
The same review lists other reasons to avoid or postpone microneedling: active cold sores or a local infection, a moderate to severe chronic skin condition, a bleeding disorder or blood-thinning medication, a clear tendency to keloid scarring, and ongoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Tell us beforehand if any of these apply, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Questions we get asked
What is the difference between Micro Acnes, Micro PIH and Hydrapen?
All three are microneedling, with different goals: Micro Acnes for acne that has gone on for a long time, Micro PIH for the red marks left after acne, and Hydrapen for renewing rough, dull skin with a pen and serum at several depths.
Does it hurt?
It stings. How much depends on the area and the depth chosen, and our doctor adjusts as you go based on what you say.
When can I go back to work?
The skin is usually red for one to two days, and in some cases for two to three. If you have something important coming up, book the session a few days before it rather than the day before.
Can I have it with active, inflamed acne?
Not on areas that are badly inflamed. Those need a medical check at a hospital first — we will postpone the session and say so at the consultation.
Do you offer RF microneedling, such as Morpheus8 or Potenza?
No. Our microneedling sessions use fine needles without radiofrequency energy, and for deeper scarring we use fractional CO2 instead. If RF microneedling was recommended to you elsewhere, bring that recommendation along: after looking at your skin, we will tell you honestly which of our options fits, or if none of them does.
Can I have it done while visiting Hanoi?
A single session fits a short stay, as long as you allow for one to two days of redness — in some cases two to three — and keep the following week free of beach days and heavy sweating. A full course needs at least three weeks between sessions, so it suits you better if you are staying longer.
