Hydrapen

Works on multiple layers with a micro-point pen tip — stimulating your skin's own process of epidermal renewal.

Benefits

Helps stimulate epidermal renewal

Activates the skin's own repair mechanism.

Reaches multiple layers

The depth is adjusted for each area of skin.

Helps active ingredients go deeper

Combines micro-points with a serum.

When is Hydrapen a good fit?

Rough skin, enlarged pores

You want to improve surface texture.

Post-acne marks

Your skin needs support with the renewal process.

Dull, less smooth skin

Regular skincare isn't enough.

When to hold off

Please see a dermatologist first if: you are taking oral acne medication or stopped less than 6 months ago; your skin is infected or has fluid-filled bumps or blisters; you have an open wound or recent sunburn; you have had a peel, laser or microneedling in the past 2 weeks; or inflamed acne is spreading and very painful. Let CHAMING know in advance if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

What happens in a session?

  1. Skin analysis and consultation

The doctor analyses your skin, looking at surface texture, pores and dark marks, to choose the right depth for each area. You'll be told in advance how much redness to expect, so you can plan your schedule.

  2. Make-up removal, cleansing and disinfection

Your therapist removes your make-up, washes your face and thoroughly disinfects the area to be treated.

  3. Multi-layer micro-points with serum

The doctor uses the micro-point pen tip together with a serum, adjusting the depth for each area so the active ingredients go deeper. Just say straight away if you feel uncomfortable.

  4. Soothing the skin

Your therapist soothes the skin and applies a thin layer of moisturiser to the treated area before you leave.

  5. Aftercare advice and your next appointment

The doctor explains how to care for your skin over the next 7 days and books your next session at the interval you were advised.

Aftercare

Tonight: disinfect your skin with an antiseptic solution for 1 minute, then wipe it off with saline solution. Apply a thin layer of the moisturiser CHAMING gives you and wait 10 minutes. If the doctor has given you a topical medication, start using it tonight exactly as directed.

For the next 7 days, morning and evening: disinfect your skin for 1 minute, wipe with saline solution, then apply the moisturiser from CHAMING and wait 10 minutes. For the first 3 days only, don't use a cleanser yet and limit activities that make you sweat a lot. Don't use sunscreen this week, so you won't need make-up remover in the evening and won't rub your skin and make it peel too early. Instead, cover up well against the sun. Pause active products such as retinol and other retinoids.

If your skin reacts or anything doesn't feel right, message us on WhatsApp or call +84 925 055 555 so CHAMING can help promptly.

Frequently asked questions

How is it different from Micro Acnes and Micro PIH?

All three use micro-points but have different goals: Micro Acnes is for long-standing acne, Micro PIH is for red post-acne marks, and Hydrapen focuses on multi-layer epidermal renewal.

How often should it be repeated?

Protocols in the medical literature space microneedling sessions 3–8 weeks apart, with a minimum of 3 weeks, and collagen continues to form for around 3–6 months after the course ends (Indian Dermatology Online Journal, 2016). The doctor will set your exact interval based on how quickly your skin recovers.

How long does the redness last after a session?

A review of microneedling in the Indian Dermatology Online Journal (2016) noted that redness and mild swelling usually last 2–3 days. How much you get depends on the depth the doctor chooses for your skin, so you'll be told before the session and can plan your schedule.

Who should avoid microneedling?

The literature lists cases where it should be avoided or postponed: active inflamed acne, a current cold sore (herpes) or local infection, moderate to severe chronic skin conditions, a bleeding disorder or taking blood thinners, a clear tendency to form keloid scars, and people undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy (Indian Dermatology Online Journal, 2016). Let CHAMING know in advance if any of these apply to you.
