Pigmentation treatment in Hanoi
Dark patches are not all the same thing, and the differences decide what works. Below is how we tell them apart, what each one responds to, and what is honestly achievable.
Price
| Delicate Zone Peel — underarms, bikini and other thin-skinned areas | 1,200,000₫ |
Several of these are set after we look at your skin, because the right course depends on which type of pigmentation you have.
Three different problems that look alike
Post-inflammatory marks are the flat brown or red patches left behind after a spot heals. They are the easiest of the three: they fade on their own, and treatment mostly speeds that up.
Melasma is the symmetrical brown patching that usually sits on the cheeks, forehead or upper lip. It is driven by hormones and heat as much as by sun, which is why it comes back and why nobody can honestly promise to cure it. What is realistic is getting it much lighter and keeping it there.
Sun spots and general dullness come from accumulated exposure. They respond well, and they stay away if the sunscreen habit holds.
Getting this wrong wastes months. A course aimed at melasma is not the same as one aimed at post-acne marks, so the first visit is spent working out which one you actually have.
Sunscreen is not optional here
Every pigmentation treatment is undone by sun. Daily sunscreen is not an upsell we add at the end — without it, a course is close to a waste of money, and we would rather say that before you start than after.
Hanoi makes this harder than it sounds. The summer UV index is high even on overcast days, and heat alone can worsen melasma regardless of how careful you are with shade.
What treatment looks like
Luminous Peel is the main course for melasma and post-acne pigmentation, run as a series rather than a single visit.
Delicate Zone Peel is for darkening on body areas where the skin is thin and easily irritated, such as underarms and the bikini line. It is a different formulation, not the face peel applied elsewhere.
Skin Bright is the brightening course for dull, uneven tone and scattered sun spots.
Which one suits you is decided after looking at your skin, which is also why several of these are priced on consultation rather than as a flat number.
How long it takes
Pigmentation moves slowly. Post-acne marks usually lighten visibly within a few weeks; melasma is a matter of months and needs maintenance afterwards.
Anyone offering to clear melasma in one session is describing something that does not happen. Expect gradual lightening, and expect to keep protecting the result.
Questions we get asked
Can melasma be cured?
No, and we will not tell you otherwise. Melasma is managed rather than cured: a good course lightens it substantially, and daily sun protection is what keeps it from returning.
How do I know if my dark patches are melasma or post-acne marks?
Post-acne marks sit exactly where a spot used to be and fade on their own. Melasma is usually symmetrical across both cheeks or the forehead and does not fade by itself. We check this at the first visit before recommending anything.
Is it safe on darker skin tones?
Yes, with the right strength. Deeper tones carry a higher risk of the treatment itself causing pigmentation if pushed too hard, so courses start conservatively and build.
Can I treat underarm darkening?
Yes — that is what Delicate Zone Peel is for. Do note that shaving and friction contribute to it, so hair removal is often part of the answer as well.
