Upper lip laser hair removal
Fainter upper lip hair, with no more plucking or shaving — it's a small area, so sessions are quick.
Benefits
Targets hair follicles that are in their active growth phase.
Less need to deal with regrowth every few days.
With no more close shaving, fewer hairs curl back under the skin.
When is Upper lip laser hair removal a good fit?
Visible up close in the mirror or in photos.
You want to stop, as the skin around the upper lip is easily irritated.
Let CHAMING know in advance if: the skin in the area is sunburnt, has an open wound, or is inflamed or infected; you have recently waxed or plucked the area (it's best to let the hair grow back first); you are taking medication that makes your skin sensitive to light, or oral acne medication; or you are pregnant. If you have a skin condition, please see a dermatologist first.
What happens in a session?
- Checking the area
Your therapist looks at your upper lip hair and the skin around your mouth, where the skin is easily irritated. If you've recently plucked here, it's best to wait for the hair to grow back before treatment.
- Cleansing, shaving and eye protection
Your therapist cleanses, dries and shaves your upper lip, so there's no need to shave at home. Your eyes are then covered for protection during treatment.
- Treating the upper lip
Your therapist moves the cooled handpiece along your upper lip. It's a small area, so this part is quick; if it feels sensitive, just say so and your therapist will adjust the energy level.
- Soothing, aftercare advice and your next appointment
Your therapist soothes your upper lip, explains how to care for it at home and books your next session. Sessions are short, but you still need a full course because hair grows in cycles.
Aftercare
For the first 2 hours after your session: don't wash your face yet, and keep your upper lip dry.
For the first 24 hours: don't use any cosmetics around your upper lip, including cleanser, moisturiser or make-up.
Throughout the course: for the upper lip, never shave, wax, pluck or use hair removal cream at home, as this can easily cause inflammation, infection or irritation. CHAMING will shave the treatment area for you at every session. For men having beard hair removed: between sessions you may shave with an electric shaver, but don't use a razor, pluck or wax; you still don't need to shave before a session, as your therapist will do it on the spot. Come to your next appointment as scheduled to get the best results from your course.
If your skin reacts or anything doesn't feel right, message us on WhatsApp or call +84 925 055 555 so CHAMING can help promptly.
Frequently asked questions
How many sessions will I need?
Hair grows in cycles, so each session can only reach the follicles that are in their active growth phase — which is why the treatment is done as a course, with sessions a few weeks apart. The exact number of sessions depends on the area, your body and how thick the hair is; CHAMING will discuss this after seeing the area in person.
Does it hurt?
Most people describe it as a light flick of a rubber band. Thinner skin is more sensitive; just say so straight away and your therapist will adjust the energy level.
How should I prepare for a session?
You don't need to shave yourself: your CHAMING therapist will cleanse and shave the treatment area right before the session. Beforehand, simply avoid waxing, plucking, or applying cream or deodorant to the area, and stay out of the sun for a few days.
The upper lip is small — is it quick?
It's one of the smallest areas, so each session is short. You still need a full course because hair grows in cycles.
The information on this page is for reference. Your exact plan is adjusted after a skin analysis and an in-person assessment.
