Acnes Skin
Closed comedones, blackheads and clogged pores — start by giving your skin a thorough clean before considering a more intensive course.
Benefits
Removes dirt, excess oil and dead skin cells, leaving your pores unclogged.
With excess oil cleared away, your skin looks less shiny during the day.
Clears out comedones and limits clogging — the reason acne tends to come back.
The session finishes with a soothing step after extraction.
When is Acnes Skin a good fit?
Your skin feels bumpy to the touch, even if there's no obvious inflamed acne.
Your skin produces a lot of oil and gets shiny within a few hours.
You'd like to start with the basics before committing to a longer course.
Please see a dermatologist first if: you are taking oral acne medication or stopped less than 6 months ago; your skin is infected or has fluid-filled bumps or blisters; you have an open wound or recent sunburn; you have had a peel, laser or microneedling in the past 2 weeks; or inflamed acne is spreading and very painful. Let CHAMING know in advance if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
What happens in a session?
- Skin analysis and consultation
Your therapist analyses your skin, checking the closed comedones, blackheads and clogging to see which areas need a thorough clean.
- Cleansing
Make-up removal and cleansing to clear away dirt, excess oil and dead skin cells, leaving your pores unclogged.
- Extraction
Your therapist extracts closed comedones and blackheads, adjusting to your feedback. If it stings, just say so straight away.
- Soothing the skin
The session ends with a soothing step so your skin is less red and feels more comfortable after extraction.
- Home care advice
Your therapist explains how to care for your skin tonight and from tomorrow. When your skin starts to feel bumpy again and blackheads are clearly visible in the pores, it's time for another session.
Aftercare
Tonight: remove your make-up, then wash your face with a gentle cleanser. If you have your session after 5 pm, simply rinse your face with clean water. Next, pat an antiseptic solution onto your skin, leave it for 1 minute, then wipe it off with saline and apply a thin layer of hydrating or repairing serum. Finally, dab antiseptic solution onto any inflamed spots and leave it on overnight.
From tomorrow: follow your usual skincare routine. Apply sunscreen, but avoid the inflamed spots. During the day, put pimple patches on any inflamed spots that have come to a white head.

Frequently asked questions
Will one session get rid of my acne?
Don't expect a single session to deal with every cause of acne. This session focuses on clearing out comedones and cleansing your skin; acne caused by hormones, lifestyle habits or an unsuitable skincare routine needs time and further monitoring.
Should I choose Acnes Skin or Clear Pore?
Acnes Skin is a cleansing session for your skin, suited to cases where the main issue is closed comedones, blackheads and clogging. Clear Pore adds steps that help fight bacteria and calm inflammation, so it suits skin that breaks out again and again. If you're not sure, start with Acnes Skin.
Does extraction hurt?
It depends on the area and the type of acne; areas with lots of comedones or active inflammation are more uncomfortable. Your therapist adjusts to your feedback, so just say so as soon as it stings.
How often should I come back?
It usually depends on how quickly the comedones return: when your skin starts to feel bumpy again and blackheads are clearly visible in the pores, it's time for another session. Very oily skin needs sessions more often.
