We ask in detail about how much you sweat and what is causing any odour. Not everyone needs this treatment.
- Cleansing the underarms
Your underarms are cleansed and disinfected before treatment.
- Treatment
About 20–30 minutes for both underarms.
- Aftercare advice and follow-up
A follow-up check is booked for about 2 weeks later, when sweating has noticeably reduced.
Aftercare
For the first 24 hours, avoid hot showers, saunas and strenuous exercise, and don't massage your underarms. Sweating decreases gradually after a few days, with the clearest difference after about 2 weeks.
Frequently asked questions
Will it get rid of underarm odour?
Underarm odour is usually caused by bacteria breaking down sweat, so when you sweat less, the smell is usually milder. But if the odour has another cause, reducing sweat won't fully solve it. We'll ask you about this in detail beforehand — not everyone needs this treatment.
How long do the results last?
The results are temporary and vary from person to person, usually lasting a few months. When sweating returns, you can have it done again. We'll explain this clearly before treatment.
Does it hurt, and will I need time off?
You'll feel a light pricking sensation during the treatment. Afterwards you can go about your day as normal — no time off needed.
How is it different from surgically removing or suctioning out the sweat glands?
There are no incisions, no surgery and no downtime. The trade-off is that the results are temporary, so you'll need to repeat it when sweating returns.
