Please see a dermatologist first if: you are taking oral acne medication or stopped less than 6 months ago; your skin is infected or has fluid-filled bumps or blisters; you have an open wound or recent sunburn; you have had a peel, laser or microneedling in the past 2 weeks; or inflamed acne is spreading and very painful. What happens in a session?
- Skin analysis and consultation
The doctor examines the sagging in your cheeks, jaw and neck in person. Let us know in advance if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a metal implant or electronic device in your body.
- Cleansing the face and neck
Your therapist removes your make-up and thoroughly cleanses your whole face and neck.
- Mapping the areas and applying gel
Your therapist maps out the areas of your face and neck and applies a thin layer of gel so the handpiece makes even contact with the skin.
- Full-face and neck HIFU lifting
The doctor moves the HIFU handpiece over each area of your face and neck in turn; the energy works on the supporting layer beneath the skin. Tell us as soon as it feels like too much, so the doctor can adjust.
- Soothing and sunscreen
Your therapist wipes off the gel, soothes your skin and applies sunscreen before you leave.
- Home care advice
The doctor explains what to avoid after your session, especially during the first 7 to 10 days, and how to care for your skin in the first week.
Aftercare
After your session: don't massage your face, don't wash it with hot water, and don't rub the treated area hard. Avoid strenuous exercise that makes you sweat a lot, such as the gym, swimming or sport. Avoid alcohol and cigarettes. Eat a balanced diet and don't go on a restrictive diet, so your collagen and elastin production isn't affected. Apply extra serum or moisturiser if your skin feels dry. Avoid direct sun and apply sunscreen before going outside.
For the first 7 to 10 days: don't sleep face down, and try not to sleep on your side. Use hydrating masks during the first week. Your skin may be slightly red, bruised or swollen this week. If this happens, get in touch so the doctor can advise you on what to do.

Sensation varies from person to person and from area to area. The doctor chooses an energy level that suits the area and how much you are comfortable with. Tell us as soon as it feels like too much, so the doctor can adjust.
When will I see results, and how long do they last?
Results appear gradually as your body renews itself. Changes usually become clearer after about 3 months; how long they last and when to repeat the treatment depends on the person. The doctor will assess what's realistic for you after examining you.
